Synopsis
Liza, a young woman from the Netherlands, travels to Venice to see her father Mauro, who abandoned her mother when she was only three years old. Mauro is a passionate mandolin player and can look back on a colorful life. After so many years, he wants to get to know his daughter better for some reason. And without wasting any time, he convinces Liza to join him on an adventurous journey that will take them to Ljubljana, Novi Sad and all the way to Istanbul.

EDDY TERSTALL
Eddy Terstall was born in Amsterdam in 1964. He studied Political Sciences and started working in the film industry as an electrician. In 1992, Terstall directed his first feature film and has made 11 movies ever since. He is known for his talent to treat serious topics in a humorous way and famous in Netherlands for his films “Rent-A-Friend”, “Vox Populi” and “Simon”. Especially the latter was very successful at national and international festivals and won several awards. Today, Terstall continues to write and direct films and aspires a political career in the Netherlands.
